Bratislava planning road repairs
Slovakia’s capital Bratislava has announced an award procedure for the repair and maintenance of roads and streets for four years, with the projected costs of EUR 10.95 million, excl. VAT. The work is divided into six stages, ranging in scope from EUR 995,820 to 4,980,000, excl. tax.
Potential bidders can request the tender documentation by 12 January; the deadline for submitting bids is 16 January and envelopes will be opened on 19 January 2009. The lowest price will be the sole criterion for bid evaluation. The bids shall be binding at least until 6 April. This is based on information published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
One of the tender conditions is that the bidders performed construction work of the same or similar nature, in a minimum volume of EUR 995,820, excl. tax, a year, between 2005 and 2007. At the same time the bidders have to submit their profit and loss statements for the period concerned, if using double-entry accounting, or income and expense statements and statements of assets and liabilities, if using single-entry accounting.
