Additional investments coming to Levice

Last year two investors expressed their interest to invest almost EUR 10 million in the Levice industrial park. Ján Stroška, administrator of the Levice-Géňa industrial park, announced the names of these companies – Adato, s.r.o., which intends to invest EUR 7,801,000, and Trio Pack Plastic, which plans an investment of EUR 2,124,000. “In total, the investors plan to create 104 jobs,” Stroška added. Adato wants to manufacture ribbed tubes and Trio Pack Plastic multi-layer plastic films in the Levice industrial park. And in 2009 Levice awaits other investors. Stroška expects that about 300 additional jobs could be created in the Levice industrial park in the future.

At present the Levice South industrial zone has an area of 65 hectares. The industrial park should be enlarged by another 30 hectares. According to Lord Mayor Štefan Mišák, the local government has already negotiated with the Slovak Land Fund on the removal of the sites from the land fund. The zone already hosts Nefab Packaging, s.r.o., Globo Eastern Europe, Leaf International BV, Slovintegra Energy, Alcan Slovensko Extrusions, ZF Sachs Slovakia, ZF Levice s.r.o. ZF SACHS, De Miclén, Arden, Scandolara Tub-Est and Camfil. These companies have invested about EUR 215.76 million and created about 2,000 new jobs.
