2009 Furniture of the Year: Swing armchair

The winner of the 2009 Furniture of the Year award, organized by the Association of Czech Furniture Makers, was announced at the international trade fair of furniture and interiors MOBITEX 09 in Brno. The winner of the first Furniture of the Year contest was the “Swing” armchair by mminterier. The contest for the best design and innovation aims to support furniture production in the Czech Republic; the submitted products are evaluated in terms of function, safety, aesthetics and suitability of the materials used. The deadline for submitting products for the first round of next year’s contest is 31 December 2009. See more information at www.czechfurniture.com.
