Preparatory works to revitalize the forest-park Petržalka have started
Bratislava has started preparatory works to revitalize the 62-hectare area between the Large and the Small Draždiak in Petržalka. Should there raise the urban forest-park Draždiak, which will be used for recreation and sport. "The city began with geodetic surveying, dendrology exploration and in the second half of June to clean the area, "advised the mayor spokeswoman Beatrice Szaboová. From the neglected area they want to remove black dumps of municipal and construction waste, which are remains of the construction of Petržalka. Grassy vegetation not treated will be revitalized by mowing and removing flies, cutting dry trees and sawing dry boughs on trees around the walkways. The project of the forest-park envisages with new benches embedding, added lighting, natural sports areas and playgrounds. The mayor Andrej Ďurkovský emphasized that construction of new objects in this site is not planned. Currently they are preparing the tender for the design supplier. The processor of the urban study was JELA, s.r.o – the winner of the procurement procedure.
