Slovak construction industry troubled by a decline of demand and by bureaucracy

Slovak companies forecast continuing decline of Slovak construction industry also in 2010, their confidence continues to fall. Stabilization and return of growth may come in 2011, however, there is considerable uncertainty in this regard. Worsening of the situation is visible in continuing decline of capacity utilization of inquired companies. They all state that their growth is limited. They are troubled by bureaucracy, lack of financial resources and of demand. The key priority for the following 12 months is increasing their effectiveness and optiminalization of their financing. It is shown in the Quarterly analysis of the state and development of the Slovak construction industry 02/2010, prepared by the CEEC Research company in co-operation with KPMG Slovakia, Ipsos Tambor, Rigips and Phoenix-Zeppelin.
