Fall of construction industry in the first quarter slowed down to 13,9 per cent

Information published by the Slovak Statistical Office show that the continuing fall of building production has slowed down to 13,9 % in the first quarter of 2010 with the produced volume of EUR 906,8 mill. Compared to the first two months of the year, the fall was lower by 0,7 per cent. The construction industry marked outputs at EUR 362,1 mill., a y-o-y decrease of 12,9 %. In comparison with the February fall, it was lower by 6,8 per cent. After seasonal adjustment, the building production in March increased by 3,1 % compared to February. Last year, the building production decreased by 11,3 % to EUR 5,75 bill.
