Banská Bystrica: Real estate database will help investment
Investors interested in investing in the territory of Banská Bystrica self-governing region (BBSR) can choose the property for sale or rent on the web portal bbsk-invest.sk, which is operated by the regional government in Slovak and English. The database currently contains over 140 properties including 15 industrial parks. Investors can search by various criteria – district, town, type of property and whether it is for sale or rent. As Vladimír Laššák – head of regional development at the BBSR office – said, an enormous increase in demand was recorded since launching the portal in October 2009 – there are currently 2–3 offers monthly. The portal is aimed at presenting investment opportunities in BBSR. Greenfields as well as browfields and commercial premises with an area of at least 500 m2 and industrial buildings and cultural monuments suitable for commercial purposes with an area of at least 250 m2 can all be included.
