Auctions, acquisitions, corruption, non-traditional property development – REM > Winter 2011

Programme of the traditional Stavební fórum winter conference Real Estate Market > Winter 2011 Tax & Legal… Focus is aimed at current problems of real estate market and the entire Czech economy. Current outlooks for the coming years in many areas including tax and legislation will be brought by, among others, economic forecaster Pavel Kohout, Zdeněk Havelka – managing director of CPI – the biggest investor in the Czech market today, Libor Nevšímal from Naxos auction house and former Prague mayor and architect Jan Kasl.

One-day conference programme will be divided into four blocks. The first will focus on ownership issues related to changes in possession of real estate and related tax and legal questions; in the second panel, the panelists will address the matter of price fluctuations in the current post-crisis period and property valuation. Representatives of the banking sector will bring the audience background of price development and loan processes. Another part of the conference will be devoted to the hot issue of public procurement and corruption. In this panel, presented by publicist Vladimír Kaláb, the Platform for Transparent Public Procurement (Platforma pro transparentní veřejné zakázky) will be introduced by Daniel Weinhold. The last part of the conference will map new property development territories which, in our conditions, are Czech regions and last but not least the Slovak market – close to ours in many respects.
