Yssel wanting to building another plant costing 20 million in Slovakia

Million-euro investment is heading to Slovakia. The newspaper Hospodárske noviny stated that Yssel group company wants to build a new plant for concrete frames creating more than 500 jobs. “As soon as we find a suitable location, we will build the plant in Slovakia,“ Viera Dingová, managing director at Yssel, said. The company was planning to invest one billion crowns in Palárikovo already in 2008 and create 560 new jobs. This time we are talking about more than EUR 20 million. There is an assumption that Yssel may target south-west Slovakia.

“Negotiations with the company have been ongoing for 8 months,“ Árpád Horváth, mayor of Kolárovo, said. According to him, the company has shown interest in land measuring 70 to 80 hectares and the town representatives are now waiting for their final statement. However, Ms Dingová has said that they were still searching for a suitable location and it was unclear for now whether it would be in Kolárovo. But she didn´t want to specify other cities. The Ministry of Economy hasn´t registered any request for assistance from the side of the company.

Yssel operates in the markets in the Netherlands and Germany. They have been in Slovakia since 2007, they employ 250 people in their branches. Their Slovak headquarters is in Palárikovo which covers production and processing of reinforcing steel.
