Slovakia: CPI opening Family Centrum

CPI is opening another retail area called Family Centrum in Slovakia. Retail Park in Senica with a total business area of 5,330 “squares” is part of a large retail property acquisition by the group concluded earlier this year. In January 2011 CPI Group bought a package of retail properties in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from the Austrian company Real4You. It consisted not only of existing buildings Penny Market and Family Center but also of development projects. “One of the projects was also a retail centre in Senica, which is now opening. The retail Park in Senica follows on the Kaufland hypermarket and comprises eight business units,“ explained Ivan Nosko, Director of Slovak CPI Group branch. CPI Group is still active in the retail sector in Slovakia. “We don´t exclude other acquisitions in case an interesting offers comes,“ confirmed Mr Nosko, Director. Expansion of the retail portfolio is also underway in the Czech Republic, where the CPI Group has opened two Penny Market supermarkets in recent days, and in late November it will start operation of a retail park in Český Krumlov. There are further two complexes under construction in Beroun and Trutnov.
