Foreign engineering companies interested to invest in Prešov

Dutch, German, Belgian and French engineering companies are interested to invest in Prešov and its surroundings. Veronika Kmetóny Gazdová, spokeswoman for Prešov City Hall, informed that Pavol Hagyari, Mayor of Prešov, discussed this with Matúš Murajda, Dutch Honorary Consul, and Dan R. E. Rottiers, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium. In case of successful implementation of the planned investment, over 1,000 new jobs will be created there.

They are 4 projects, of which two are awaiting investment incentives. “Due to confidentiality agreement between the involved parties, it is not possible to specify location of the investment. According to the mayor, however, it is not the industrial park PZ Prešov-Záborské,” Ms Kmetóny Gazdová said. Furthermore, she specified that if the decision on state subsidy is positive, construction could start in the second quarter of 2012. It would start by building a hall and actual engineering production would start at the beginning of 2013.

The city authorities will do everything possible to attract investors which would mean more new jobs as well as gradual increase in the level of the entire region, the spokeswoman stated.
