Retail space rents is stable

Retail space rent in the Czech Republic is stable and is not expected to change significantly at the end of this year and next year either. The situation is similar throughout Europe, with some exceptions. A report by Colliers International monitoring the level of rents across Europe shows this. “We don´t anticipate major changes in the local retail rents for the rest of this year and also at the beginning of 2012,” says Omar Sattar of Colliers International ČR, according to whom rents in larger cities will remain stable. A slight increase can be expected only in the best located units in strong shopping centres.

In Prague, monthly rent in prime streets now remains stable at EUR 200 per sqm, while rents in the leading shopping centres are at EUR 90 per month. In Bratislava, rents in prime locations are at EUR 40, it is EUR 90 in Warsaw.
