Bussiness and inovation centrum, which will arise frome sources of Slovak development support at Serbia Báčsky Petrovec, will be bigger, than it was planed originally. Jozef Takács from the Association for Development of Horná Nitra Region, which realizes the project on behalf of Slovak party, confirmed it. As he explained, the project met with interest of local inhabitants and succeeded to gain 17 thousand € for its extension from the Serbian government. The centre ought to be on the ground floor of former artisans house originally, but after those additional means were gained, also the attic storey is to be reconstructed, he supplemented. Above 91 000 € will go for the reconstruction from sources of Slovak development support. Totally the project gained the backing above 199 000 € from the Slovak Agency for International Development Co-operation.
Till the mid of February the basics for public procurement ought to be prepared. The tender winner will start the reconstruction then, which ought to be finished till the end of the year. At the end of the year schooling of local personnel ought to start so that the centre started operating and serving local people with business making at the beginning of year 2010, Takács pointed out.
The business and innovation centre ought to support the development of local economy, contribute to employment and increase life quality. Local people, mainly women, have big interest in business making and the improvement of economic situation. There are many unemployed women who lost their job after Tatrapan privatisation in the village. The centre should serve like a model for arising a similar centre in the less developed area – at Valjevo.
