The Office for Standardisation, Metrology and Testing of SR (ÚNMS) regards meeting technical standards in this area important while warming up buildings. Building has to be appraised from energy effectiveness point of view while building-up, selling or renting. „The appraisal is carried out based on standards, which are issued by the Slovak Institute of Technical Standardisation, “its chairman, Peter Lukáč, explained.
Thermal protection of buildings is one of main areas, which the standard of the European Commission (EK) and connected standards relate to. Heating systems, lighting, ventilation and air condition and regulation and measuring systems in buildings belong to other such areas. Since last year all buildings have had an energy certificate. They are then classified to energy classes similarly like electrical-appliances according to it, what offers to a customer review on future costs for the building operation.
