The Department does not know how many are flats with controlled residential rent

Occupants of flats with controlled residential rent ought to register to the Department of Housing and Urban Development as soon as possible. The Department chief Marian Janušek told today, that complete data are needed in order to approve the law, which would solve the problem with controlled residential rent. The Department still does not know how many are such flats in Slovakia. Till now about 900 peoples have registered.

„The numbers of flats differ. Our assumption is from about three to seven thousand. Me still state, that it is about three thousand,“ Janušek told at the press discussion on behalf of SNS. He added, that some basics tell about up to ten thousand flats with controlled residential rent.

The law to solve the problem with controlled residential rent will be submitted till the end of March by Janušek. „Four Departments are working on the law presently. The imagination is such, that there will be about three-four alternatives.“ The Government and the Parliament consequently will decide about the final solution.
