ProEnviro is looking for the best school environmental project
Sustainable development should begin at school. The centre for environmental projects programming and environmental education of the Slovak Environmental Agency at Banská Bystrica pronounced already the 4th annual competition for the best environmental project organized by the ProEnviro School. This is the competition for the best proposal that has not been realized or awarded yet in other competitions. The aim is to promote and support school projects towards sustainable development, increase interest of students and educators in their school and its environment, develop cooperation and active participation in solving problems of the local community and the region. After the conclusion of the competition one school is selected in each category on the basis of expertise appraisal, which receives the one thousand Euro financial support. In each category the first three teams won useful substantive prices.
