Fico comments banks due to financing PPP projects
The Slovakia Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed the hope, that the problem with financing the motorway projects of the public-private partnership (PPP) will be successfully solved definitely in spite of constraints of banks in case of offering financial means. „This is absolutely typical for this world. Those who caused the crisis are the most conservative. Those who have full pockets of money are afraid to let them go away, to lend them, to put them into circulation,“ Fico commented hesitation of banks in case of financing costive PPP projects. As he reminded, the government has approved and the Department of Transport has signed two concession contracts on the first and the second package of PPP projects for the stages of D1 motorway and R1 highway. It wants to realize the being prepared warming up program thought the State Fund of Housing Development. It plans to offer means in the amount of about 73 mills € (2.2 bills SKK) for their realization. From these sources family houses, flats as well industrial and public buildings ought to be warmed up.
