Ekonomické stavby increases profit
Ekonomické stavby, a leading producer of walled family houses in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland, presented its 2008 results and 2009 plans. The preliminary and non-audited results point at a turnover increase of 17% – CZK 753 million. The 2008 profit doubled to CZK 68 million, year-on-year. “It is less than we expected, but taking into account the general situation, we are satisfied with this result. Based on the concluded contracts, we already know that in 2009 we will grow by 24 – 28% and will generate the same profit as in 2008,” says David Mencl, Chief Executive Officer for Ekonomické stavby. On the Slovak market, Ekonomické stavby recorded a 54% growth in 2008; in Poland, the company has not seen any profit yet, but its turnover growth was at 150%.
