Budget to the Government only in September

The budget for next year will go to the Government only in September. Ministry of Finance has asked the Government to postpone the deadline for the submission of the proposal of August 15, as the law on the Budgetary Regulation says, to the end of September, what Cabinet approved today at the extraordinary council. Finance Minister Ján Počiatek wants to have available the most recent data on economic development in Slovakia and the biggest trade partners of the country while preparing the budget. This year the deficit of public finance is expected slightly above 6%. In the next three years the Ministry plans the deficits on the level of 5.5% in 2010, 4.2% in 2011 and three-percentage deficit should be achieved in 2012.
