The construction sector will continue to coordinate EU funds
Ministry of Construction and Regional Development will probably continue to be the central coordinating body dealing with management of EU funds utilization. The information that Prime Minister Robert Fico wants to take the agenda from the sector overcame Minister Igor Štefanov. The media were longer time being speculated whether he will relocate the management of EU funds from the Ministry of Construction to the Office of the Government. The reason of this should be particularly low utilization of the European Union means, which varies on the level of almost one percent. Štefanov affirms that Prime Minister did not give him no ultimatum to what time he should improve the utilization of EU funds. Slovakia can obtain over 11 billion Euro from the EU funds in the next few years.
