Highest auction of the year

The highest last year´s public auction of all in the Czech Republic was realized by Naxos which auctioned a logistics complex in Lovosice for CZK 274 mill. at the end of December. The object of the auction was a storage complex with administration facilities with a total area of 41 312 square metres, fully occupied by tenants, formerly owned by Logistic Park Lovosice. The new owner is a company from Brno named Hodierno. Naxos also executed last year´s second highest auction in the Czech Republic in autumn when it monetized the luxurious seniors´house Classis in Průhonice for CZK 140 mill. Selling the logistics complex in Lovosice contributed to a partial improvement of Czech auction statistics for 2009. They show a total volume of auctioned assets for roughly CZK 1,9 bill., nearly one billion lower than the previous year. Naxos participates in this year´s volume in almost CZK 500 mill. The number of auctions dropped by nearly three hundred compared to 2008. In the first half of last year more than 1130 auctions were realized, 2270 within the year according to the first estimates. There were approximately 1840 voluntary auctions in the twelve months of last year, and nearly 430 compulsory ones.
