Slovak-Polish company planning waterpark construction

Slovak-Polish company named Vodný park Stará Ves – Sromowce Wyžne is preparing construction of a new waterpark at Spišská Stará Ves on the Polish border. The waterpark will be built on the area of 8,5 hectares. The firm bought land from a communal forest company where most members are Polish citizens. “The zoning permission should be issued at the end of August, project documentation is being prepared. A building permit should be issued before the end of the year,“ Ján Komiňák, member of the board of directors informed media. Construction of the waterpark in Spišská Nová Ves will start next year in spring. The waterpark will comprise of inside and outside pools, a four-star 250 bed hotel, a multi-functional hall and other additional services and attractions. The estimated investment in Spišská Stará Ves is EUR 26,55 mill. The park will be operational within two years from starting construction.
