The town is going to introduce the unfinished AquaPark at a fair
Dolný Kubín is building the relaxation centre at price of 7.3 mills €. Momentarily the first of three stages is being finished; it already cost 1 mills €. The new AquaPark ought to be the impulse for further development of tourist trade on lower Orava; the town plans to introduce it already at the travel trade fair ITF Slovakiatour this months.
Opposed to surrounding aqua parks at upper Orava and Liptov, Dolný Kubín centre will not use thermal water, but natural. „The AquaPark will use heated water from ecology sources – from town water main using biomass, solar collectors and using return air residual heat, “ marketing manager Martin Hromada told.
30 new jobs will be established by the new area construction, which will be situated on the locality of the old covered swimming place. Covered swimming and relaxation pools, the object of sauna world and rooms for services will be spread on the area of 5 000 m2 in site. The study considers on maximal immediate capacity of 40 persons; all-year operation is assumed.
Basic stone of the AquaPark at Dolný Kubín was laid on July 17 last year; its opening is already intended after the second stage is finished, thus on September 01, 2009. At third stage the town intends to build up outer pools predominantly.
