Bratislava: the Old City is going to elaborate the new parking zone project
The Bratislava Old City is going to elaborate project documentation on the new enlarged parking zone in the city centre during this year. „Very hard work is involved. It is necessary to find, where everywhere it is possible from transport point of view. The build-up of parking zones must not be to the prejudice of green vegetation and convenience for pedestrians has to be kept, “Alena Kopřivová, the Old City speaker, told. Currently we are looking for a worker – a coordinator of the parking policy, who ought to be present while procuring and approving the new zone building-up. About 200 000 € is allocated for static transport in this-year budget of the Old City, while finances for elaboration of the project documentation are available, too, the speaker told. „After its approval, we can see how many money the zone enlargement will cost. The project is to be realized next year, deputies will be approving money for it in December 2009, “ she supplemented .To answer questions, where the parking places ought to be added and how many of them, is impossible in this moment according to Kopřivová.
