The intelligent house – luxury, which is needed be appraised
Slovakia has its first low-energy and intelligent house altogether. The demonstration project is situated in Bratislava in Matúšova Street and it will attract on its face by its timeless design. Two large glassed areas with sun blinds controlled by the central computer. It analyses wind force and inner and outer temperatures continuously and they accommodate to needs of the house automatically. Just at the iHOUSE entrance, like its creators named it, a visitor is monitored thoroughly by the omnipresent eye of the camera system interconnected with monitors installed in all key rooms. Besides, the building complies with low energy consumption standard it can also praise by modern technological facility and the integrated control system Crestron.
Control system like the ground
There are situated two the most important rooms on the ground floor of the intelligent house. Its „brain“– the integrated system involving the central control unit Crestron commanding all used electronic technologies is seated in one of them. The system ensures control of heating (heating pump, solar collectors), cooling, air-techniques, pool technologies, lighting, safety and camera systems, audio-visual technique, multi-zoned sounding, electric locks, sun blinds, roller blinds as well water attractions. The main attention is paid to minimizing energy demands while providing maximal comfort for the house inhabitants.
Integration of all these technologies under one control system is extraordinary on the European market and thanks using elements of industrial automation its reliability is incomparable with the system based on PC. And the same, comfort of commanding is on the substantially higher level than classical EIB or Niko systems. Connection to outer world via Internet thought safety crypting on the level of ensuring bank e-services enables remote monitoring and maintenance including identification and fails repairing.

iHOUSE heats and cools
There is situated „the heart” of the house on the second ground room – the equipment for heating and cooling the whole object. The water distribution system and the canalisation system are solved by Gabotherm H+S. The heat source for heating is the ground-water type heating pump Siemens with support of the solar system Wolf. The combined radiator, floor and wall heating are used. The main distribution of the central heating system is realized by the Gabotherm 1, 2, 3 system and by the wall system Gabotherm WR8. The roof cooling is used in the whole object. Deep wells are the source of cold. The system part is the recuperative air techniques for the whole object venting and the pool air techniques Menerga. There is also a small gym and garage along with „the brain“and „the heart“on the ground floor.
The common part of the house with the kitchen dominates the first aboveground floor. There can be fount the mentioned pool with the LCD television, the steam and dry saunas. The supplier of the pool equipments and two saunas is B.P.A. Company, which is also the supplier of the equipment for pool water cleaning and chemical treating. All water technologies can be controlled from the superior intelligent system Crestron.
The second aboveground floor is intended for relax and sleep. There are the children rooms, the parents’ bedroom and the bathroom with the hydro-massage bathe tub and the into mirror built-in LCD television situated there. The touch monitors, intended for communication with the control centre, thought which sms-messages can be sent and delivered, to communicate mutually, to change temperature in particular parts of the house, to command audio-visual system or to set the sauna heating start is certainty in all rooms of the house. The system informs actually on the outside temperature, wind force and on the adjusted regime of the house using monitors.

Modern Technologies serving for housing
The third and last aboveground floor is accessible by the lift. There is one room more or less “detached from surrounding world“situated here. It is intended for active relax or entertainment along with keeping privacy in the frame of the house. The base of the house is light coming from all sides through the system of large-format windows creating inconspicuous border of the rest of the floor. We can find the small kitchen in the centre with the toilet. The certainty is using full comfort of iHOUSE.
„Our intention was to build-up the functional, stably settled object using the most modern technologies of energies utilization and to confirm that it is possible to increase quality of housing substantially and decrease costs for operation and loads to environment using the integrated control system, “Milan Kabát, sales manager of Media Control Company – the supplier of the Crestron control system, explained the goal of the iHOUSE project.
At the end it is to state, that the producer of the project succeeded in the goal to the last point. Jointing modern technologies with demands of the building and its inhabitants create conditions for calm housing in harmony comfort.
