Village Žihárec welcomes the wind park
2 new wind parks should grown in the Šaľa district. One will be nearby Močenok, the other in the cadastral area of Žihárec. The company SWP wants to build them for the estimated price of 80 million EUR. The construction should start in the course of 2010. According to the mayor of the town, Mr Alajos Baranyay, nearly all plots have been settled. Some of them will be leased by the company for a term of 25 years, others will be bought. In total there should be 15 turbines with the diameter of 4 metres each. Another 6 will be built in the neighbouring village Kráľov Brod, each with the output of 2–3 MW. Žihárec welcomes the wind park as it will increase the municipality budget and the residents will benefit from it too, receiving 5 EUR per 1m2 of land.
