A Shopping centre will grow in the location of VŠA in Košice

A Shopping centre for about EUR 112 mill. should be built in the area of Všešportový areál (VŠA – All Sport Area) in Košice, by company Avalta. City councillors have finally approved the change in the purpose of land in the VŠA location, with the area of around 60 ha, to amenities. The value of the land, half of which is owned privately, would increase at least ten times. The project which is currently in the phase of planning permission will turn the Košice sports area into a multifunctional zone and a commercial and entertainment centre, including public infrastructure. The start of construction is scheduled for April 2010.
