Demand for ŠFRB Support Reaches €200.67 Million
The total value of 1,759 housing support requests recorded by the State Housing Development Fund (ŠFRB) as of December 19, 2008 reached almost €200.67 million. Real demand for support after returns and cancellations amounted to €200.67 million. Last year, the ŠFRB's budget after adjustment totaled €160.35 million for six types of housing support. As at the date, the State Fund approved 1,271 applications totaling €156.28 million. Applicant support by banks totals €159.64 million through 1,325 individual contracts. The support goes to 4,465 new and 6,475 renovated apartments.
Actual requirement for rented housing support in a residential building with an increased budget of €95.38 million amounts to €100.27 million. The State Fund supported 186 applications with a total value of €95.23 million. Adjusted requirement for support of the renewal of apartment buildings totaled €55.11 million, while the budget was only €24.89 million. In this particular case, support was awarded to 117 applications totaling €23.33 million. Actual applications for support to constructing a housing unit in an apartment and family house with a budget just under €34.92 million reach €43.06 million. The State Fund granted a total of €33.27 million to 929 applicants.
