Vážny can close the appendix to the concession contract for R1
The government approved closing the appendix to the concession contract for designing, building-up, operating, financing and maintenance of 4 stages of the R1 highway between Nitra and Tekovské Nemce, including the northern bypass of Banská Bystrica, at the Wednesday proceeding. The second from 3 motorway packages of the public-private partnership (PPP) is concerned. The minister of transport, Ľubomír Vážny, should close the appendix to the concession contract, which creates all needed conditions to successful realization and function of the PPP project according to the Department of Treasury, till May 11, 2009. The Department reasoned the appendix to the concession contract closing for stages of R1 in the length of almost 52 km by contractual obligations as well as recommendations of the Department of Treasury. The goal of these changes, which the appendix to the concession contract brings, is the fulfilment of contractual obligations and the government resolution, support of immediate start-up of building works and the achievement of financial closing the R1 project.
