Maďarič: Common seat of STV and SRo will not be markedly
The common seat of the statutory media, which the government wanted to build-up near the new building of SND in Bratislava, will not be markedly. The minister of culture representing Smer-SD, Marek Maďarič, confirmed it at the yesterday proceedings of the government. The building-up of the media centre, where Slovak television, the main part of the Slovak broadcasting and the press agency TASR, ought to be, would require change of several laws. However, ĽS-HZDS the change of legislative refused. The minister designated the disagreement of the coalition partner as the main reason of the stoppage of the project, which the government has already approved. Maďarič admitted that it is not decided yet whether the government will „go“ to the common centre of media. „I am thinking about it considering the crisis and regarding that political support is needed for this, “Maďarič stated. The seat of statutory media, which the government decided about in October 2007, ought to have been build-up at the price of 147.879 millions € by the form of the PPP project. The minister of culture spoke about it like about the ready thing.
