Discussion meeting of Stavební Fórum: programme Green Savings faces criticism
Subsidy programme Green Savings faces a number of critical comments. Clearly formulated reproaches were heard in a discussion meeting of Stavební Fórum held this week in Ostrava. According to some developers the programme is going to boost neither reconstructions nor the construction market sufficiently. “The programme is not set for important apartment owners. If that was the case, even ordinary tenants would take advantage of it, while in this way it’s beneficial for the wealthy,” claims Pavel Klimeš, director of RPG residential portfolio. The programme suffers also from technical faults, for example a number of ambiguities arise around the deadline of 15 years during which the State Environmental Fund may check observance of conditions. The thing is that some of the used components don’t have such long service life or the owner of the house or flat may change.
