Real estate prices declined by 14.3 percent in the 3rd quarter

The downward trend in prices of housing continued in the 3rd quarter of 2009. According to the data of National Bank of Slovakia (NBS), which processes them in collaboration with the National Association of Realtors Slovakia (NARKS), the average price per m2 of houses and flats achieved 1 322 Euro in this period, what compared with the 2nd quarter means decrease of 1.5% and in year on year comparison up to 14.3%. While property prices fell by 4.3% in the 1st quarter and by 13.4% in the 2nd quarter. For the whole of last year, home prices increased significantly year on year, by 22.1%.
