British investors are interested in the Slovak market, confirmed Andrew Cahn, the General Director of UK Trade & Investment of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, at the meeting with Slovak Minister of Economy Lubomir Jahnatko. According to him, investment in the Slovak Republic is already higher, as shown by statistical indicators. A lot of British firms in reality invest indirectly via Holland, Hungary or the Czech Republic. Their overall investment in Slovakia reached EUR 401 mill at the end of 2008 which made them take the 12th place among foreign investors in the Slovak Republic. “On the other hand, it is important to emphasize that United Kingdom is 4th most sought after investment destination for Slovak investors.
