Largest Czech law firm: AK Havel & Holásek
Law firm Havel & Holásek has won in two of fifteen categories in the Právnická firma roku 2010 (Law firm of 2010) competition. The firm has defended their position of the largest law firm in the Czech Republic as well as the first place in the Telecommunication and Media category. Apart from this, the company appeared most frequently (seven times) together with the firm White & Case among the five best law firms nominated for success in the given category. The results were announced by the organizer of the competition, EPRAVO.cz.
“We are pleased to be confirmed in the position of the largest law firm in the Czech Republic. We appreciate being ranked in the Top 5 in half of the categories, and we believe that this is a confirmation of the quality and comprehensive legal service our firm provides,“ says Jaroslav Havel, managing partner of the law firm Havel & Holásek, and he adds: “We also regret not to have achieved a leading place in the category Mergers and Acquisitions which is today probably the most important area of our firm’s legal services. We have assisted our clients in tens of successful transactions in previous years. In addition, our M&A team with nearly forty lawyers, including six partners, is the largest in the CR.“ The success in this year´s Právnická firma roku 2010 competition was not this year´s only award for Havel & Holásek. They also received the ILO Client Choice Award 2010 awarded by the international rating agency International Law Office (ILO) and it thus became the best rated law firm in the Czech Republic.
