TECHO has EPD
TECHO, a company dealing with the implementation of commercial and public interiors, has published Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). EPD belongs to the category of voluntary certification systems and speaks of quality and environmental impacts of products throughout their life cycle. EPD is verified by the Electrotechnical Testing Institute (Elektrotechnický zkušební ústav) in Prague and was granted to 13 TECHO product lines, which represents 92% of the company product range.
EPD is a comprehensive tool for ecological analysis of the product. Measured indicators are, for example, extraction of raw materials, energy; water and fuel consumption; waste, emissions, packaging materials or impacts associated with the sale, service and recycling of the product.
