ZMOS appeals to towns and villages in order not to increase prices

The Association of Villages and Towns of Slovakia (ZMOS), appeals to its members – above 2 700 villages and towns so that not to increase prices for services and performances in the sphere of local self-administration authority. The Association chief, Michal Sýkora, addressed them by a letter today „Last year ZMOS like a social partner of the Government committed to co-operate in governances in order baseless increasing prices of goods and services not to become, “Helena Poláková, the Association speaker, informed.

During first days after transfer to Euro one of the biggest fear –increasing prices – was not confirmed in Slovakia as yet. The Slovak Business Inspection has also not fears of prices increasing in retail. Recently the general director of the Inspection admitted possible increase of prices in services, in Slovak television, where prices vary around the level of 40% of European countries average. In her view it is important so that eventual increase of prices not to be caused by transfer to Euro.
