The business environment was getting worse again according to PAS
The business environment was still getting worse in SR during last 3 months 2008. The index of business environment dropped by 1.7% to 113.3 point in the last quarter of 2008 compared wit the third quarter according to the Entrepreneurs Alliance of Slovakia (PAS) investigation. It was together 10th drop in the order. The item appraising affectivity of the state management and access to the state backing recorded the most expressive drop in the fourth quarter according to PAS information – by above 6.5% down to 58.3 points. „Entrepreneurs consider measures taken by the government in regard to the financial crisis to be non-systematic and ineffective. In the state budget for year 2009, with which entrepreneurs predominantly do not agree, is missing bigger interest in increasing effectiveness of financial means spending on the expenses side of the budget, what is the basic presumption for creating the space for tax reduction, which is the best stimulus for economy in time of crisis,“ PAS informs.
