Investment plans in Bratislava by more stringent meter

The capital city has decided to consider investment plans more stringent – pursuant to a new methodology for assessment impacts of major projects on the environment. "Bratislava has tested alone for itself what it means to consider the investment boom without rules of the game. In the past it was governed by an attempt-mistake method, "said Ján Zachar, the deputy director of magistrate.

The methodology provides for the investor the possibility to verify the feasibility of the project on the site. On the basis of individual parameters and functions in the project it can „calculate“ what regulation of binding force he will obtain. When asked, whether the city is not too late with this step, the mayor Andrej Ďurkovský answered negative. By his opinion this methodology can be used not only during the construction boom but also in the fall. So far it was used in the project Stein, Airport West and Chalupkova zone.
