Senec wants to revitalize Farské Square using EU money

The project of Farské Square revitalization at Senec ought to be financed from the EU structural funds, the state budget and the town own funds. As the mayor Karol Kvál said, the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development approved them the amount about up to 430 thousand €. „Last year we reconstructed the house of mourning by our own means, the surrounding we will make through the structural funds. It will be changed the pavement, till now were asphalts and treaded walkways there; movables, baskets and green plants are to be added, explained the mayor. He assumes the completion of the works even this year.

For the money from the Euro funds they would also like to reconstruct the amphitheatre, which will cost nearly 600 thousand €. They are also preparing other projects, such as for the reconstruction of the public lighting. Last year, Senec obtained about 6.64 mills € from the EU structural funds. They have cleaned Slnečné jazerá (Sun Lakes) for above 3.8 mills € hereof. They removed overall 63 thousand tons of sludge using suction dredges floating on lakes, which surface is 105 ha. "It was a unique project in Slovakia. Thus the town gave green to further development of tourism at Senec, "said Kvál.
