Slovakia has a trade surplus

Regarding the balance of foreign trade Slovakia was over the first five months of this year with the surplus of 0.2 billion Euro in the EU among those countries that went well. Sixteen member countries showed a deficit of foreign trade, one country had a balance and nine states had a surplus. The biggest surplus had Germany (46.3 billion Euro) followed by Ireland (15.6 billion Euro) and Netherlands (13.8 billion Euro). The biggest deficit for January to May showed the UK, i.e. up to the level of 38 billion Euro. Foreign trade in the Euro area showed the surplus of 4.6 billion Euro in June according to the first estimation of the European Union statistical agency Eurostat.
