SARIO preparing new investments in the Nitra region
Representatives of Nitra self-governing region (NR) and Slovak agency for development of investments and trade (SARIO) signed a memorandum of co-operation in Nitra. Its aim its to intensify the co-operation between the two parties. “Nitra as well as the Nitra region attract interest thanks to their position and infrastructure; we have a problem with eastern Slovakia,“ said Juraj Kiesel, General Director of SARIO. Milan Belica, Chairman of NR, emphasised that they were the only region where they managed to reduce the long term above all-Slovak unemployment rate (12,7 %) to below this rate (11,7 %). The positive aspect is the fact the the Nitra region holds the 4th position for GDP indicator following the Bratislava, Košice and Trnava regions.
