Two companies already announced their interest to build a waterpark in Nitra. “When we published Nitra´s interest in a waterpark, AquaCity Poprad and Edimax came forward,“ Jozef Dvonč, the city mayor said. And he added that the city will search for a strategic investment partner through a public tender. Construction of the waterpark is currently in the stage of preparation of a study for an all-year usage of the city‘s swimming pool. The city allocated 7,000 EUR for this from its budget.
According to Dvonč, a waterpark similar to that in Galanta may be built in Nitra. Water slides and water attractions should not be missing in the complex, the existing swimming pools will be a part of the future complex. “We would really like to have a swimming pool with an all-year operation, it would be in the space of today´s outside pool. We intend to present the study for discussion,“ he said.
