Most investments attracted by SARIO were in the Nitra region

Most foreign investments arranged by Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) were in the Nitra self-governing region. Statistics for 2002 to 2008 show this during which 56 investors came there. Second most successful were the Košice region (44 investors) followed by the Trenčín region (42), Bratislava region (41), Žilina region (36), Trnava region (31), Banska Bystrica region (29) and Prešov region (24). As Marián Janošík, spokesperson for SARIO, informed, 1 completed project of ICU Medical from USA was recorded in 2009. They received investment aid from the Slovak government amounting to EUR 5,58 mill.
