Science-technology park under construction in Roztoky
A new science-technology park worth nearly half a billion crowns with the usable area of 4,200 sqm is under construction in Roztoky nearby Prahy. Initiator of the park is the development company Trigema. The project links the business and academic community, represented by the Czech Technical University. In addition to Trigema’s own funds, the construction part of the project is supported by grants from the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation. “Construction of science-technology parks and other necessary infrastructure in the Czech Republic for innovative companies is supported by the Prosperity programme, from where the project in Roztoky gets money, too,” Martin Kocourek, Minister of Industry and Trade, said. “There are four billion in total in the programme. Each individual project can obtain 400 million crowns from the European Union,” Petr Očko, head of the Department of EU Funds, Research and Development at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, explains. Komerční banka also participated in financing of the project by providing investment credit and other banking products and services. According to Marcel Soural, CEO of Trigema, operation of the Roztoky science-technology park will start in September this year.
