Impact of the economy crisis also deepen in building industry
Building industry feels influence of the financial crisis in first months of this year and its impact will sharpen in the half of this year. Ján Majerský, the president of the Union of Building Entrepreneurs of Slovakia (ZSPS), informed about it and told that mainly middle companies report shortage of work. This year the volume of building production can drop by about 10%, what would mean loss of almost 20 bills SKK (663.9 mills €) and discharge of hundreds or thousands from 178 thousand workers evenly. Sources for keeping building industry performance exist by Majerský. Motorway projects of public-private partnership (PPP) can keep the engineering building and also money from Euro funds allocated in the Transport Operational Program. Using these sources can ensure work in building industry for several years. The source of work mainly for young builders is the Regional Operational Program and revitalization for towns, villages or the building-up of rental houses for middle companies. „No growth is concerned but sustainability, “Majerský added.
