The building industry fall has deepened to 22 % in October

The continuing year-on-year fall of building production has deepened to 22 % in October, with the volume of 511,8 million EUR. It accounted for 16,9 % in September. According to the information of Slovak Statistical Office, the decrease was influenced by high comparable sales in October 2008, when the building production had grown by 16,3 %. After considering the seasonal influences, the building production has decreased by 7,3 % in comparison with September. It has reached 4,744 billion EUR in the 9 months of 2009, which is 10,3 % less than in the same period last year. The decrease has accelerated by 1,5 % in comparison with the 9 months.
