Zdeněk Tůma joined KPMG

Zdeněk Tůma (50), former CNB Governor has decided to co-operate with the company KPMG in the Czech Republic from 1st January 2011. In his new position, he will focus primarily on advisory services for the financial sector. Tůma says about his new role: “I believe that I will be able to use my years of experience in the banking and financial sectors in the consulting firm KPMG in the Czech Republic and thus actively participate in the consulting business.”

Zdeněk Tůma graduated from Business Faculty of Universty of Economics in Prague. He is a long-term lecturer at Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles Universty in Prague. Between 1993–1995 he was advisor to Minister of Industry and Trade. He later worked as chief economist at Patria Finance and executive director of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Between 1999–2001 he worked in the position of Vice-Governor of the Czech National Bank. In the period 2000–2010 he headed the Czech National Bank as governor.
