Spišská Nová Ves is going to built the new industrial zone Podskala
The Spišská Nová Ves town is going to start building the industrial zone in the locality Podskala. The town has gained 5.46 mills € in the form of subsidy from the Department of Industry in order to buy lands and to built-up the industrial zone. 2.46 mills € is intended for the acquisition of the lands in the former firm Pilvud area. We have closed the purchase-sale agreement, so we suppose to become owners in earliest days,“ Ján Volný, the major of Spišská Nová Ves, told.
Spišská Nová Ves communicates intensively with fourth investors, who have an interest to come to the town. The town has agreements for 90% of the new industrial zone areas by the major. The major did not specify till now, which firms are concerned. One of them ought to be Czech engineering firm, which intents to create 400 jobs at Spišská Nová Ves. „I believe, that investors will not re-evaluate their intentions in connection with the economic crisis,“ Volný told. The new production object ought to grow in the new industrial zone especially for this firm.
The industrial zone has the area of 80 000 m2. It is situated in the old industrial part of southeastern outskirts of the town. The major assumes, that its building is going to start this year else. First employees ought to find a job there next year.
