Žiar nad Hronom began reconstructing the public lighting
The complete replacement of 1 600 lamps and columns and the installation of 63 km of underground cables involves the reconstruction of the public lighting, which has began the Žiar nad Hronom town. It should be finalized in the 2nd half of next year and the town expects from it saving of 50% of current costs for operation of the public lighting. As informed Martin Baláž, the spokesman for the Žiar nad Hronom town, the reconstruction is financing from credit sources in the amount of 3.32 million Euro. „"The reason for this investment is a very poor state of the public lighting in the town and high costs of its operation. In addition to the energy consumption of the old system, frequent repairs of defects also increased them. Parameters of new lamps will allow better and more logical lighting of public spaces at lower power consumption, "said Baláž. KESAT Company, the winner of last year tender, which involved 5 subjects, is carrying out the reconstruction.
