Prime Minister will get the petition for the new bridge at Trnava
The author of the petition for accelerating the construction of the new Trenčín road bridge, which is the most successful in the town history, has already collected 25 thousand signatures. After obtaining this number they advised it would be handed over to Prime Minister Robert Fico. At Trenčín there only a single road bridge leads over the Váh River, what greatly complicates the traffic. Traffic jams are on the daily program. In addition, more than the 50-year old current bridge needs repair, according to some experts it ought to be demolished and a new own built. The bridge construction project is ready, building permits issued, pending, however, Euro funds are being waited. The EU has to pay 75% of the bridge price, which is more than 53 million €, the remainder being covered by the state and the project documentation for more than 1.5 million € by the town. The bridge, that has to stand for about 2 km south of the current one, is also the 1st stage of the southeastern city bypass.
